Gofitnow.com is a site dedicated to fitness. Our mission is to share over 25 years of professional experience in fitness with as many people as possible to help them move properly, eat well and enjoy life completely. Live long and live strong!
We take a no-nonsense approach to fitness. We’re not into fads and gimmicks; only what works and only what works most efficiently. Because of this we stay updated on current scientific developments in the fitness world and are members of both the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. You’ll find lots of articles on this website written in everyday language and based on scientific research.
Who Is Gofitnow.com?
Gofitnow.com is our baby. We are husband and wife team, Rudi Marashlian and Tracey Thatcher.
Rudi is a true veteran of the health and fitness industry. His career spans 3 decades and includes (very briefly):
- Managing large-scale fitness clubs in Sydney in the eighties
- Teaching athletics to elementary-aged children
- Pioneering personal training in Sydney
- Owning and managing Mosman Gym throughout the nineties
- Training other fitness trainers
- Hosting a local fitness television show broadcasting into Sydney and Melbourne
- Delivering 1000′s of personal training sessions to people both in Australia and the USA
- Authoring the book, Fit Lean Healthy, 8 Simple Steps
Rudi is a certified Health and Fitness Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine and graduated from the first Exercise Science course delivered by the University of New South Wales in Australia. He regularly supplements his fitness education with accredited workshops and courses throughout the year.
Tracey has worked alongside Rudi since the nineties when they ran Mosman Gym together.
She is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and trains clients as part of their joint personal training business in the La Crescenta area of Los Angeles. Having taught and developed curriculum in the private school system for many years, she has made it her business to translate as much scientific research on fitness as possible into articles for gofitnow.com and other blogs. She is also working on several projects to develop easy-to-follow fitness courses based on the materials in Rudi’s books.
We are both 100% dedicated to disseminating what we have found to be most successful. Both of us are well over forty years old, fit, strong and as healthy as we were in our twenties. We continue to “practice what we preach” by using our own techniques and nutrition tips on a daily basis. This is one way we can be fully confident that our advice to others is good.
We’re not trying to push “six-pack abs” or a “bikini body in 30 days”. We’re more interested in sharing what we know to really work most of the time for most people to get into shape, look good and be as healthy as possible for as long as possible. With over 25 years in the health and fitness industry, we know a thing or two about losing weight, getting strong and living long.
